Elise Queens || Evil Queen || Thirty-four || “Inksplatter,” Manager || FC: Kat von D. || OPEN

Meet Elise, the fragile. Though she might not look it on the outside, though her appearance gives her the fierce look of someone scarred with a tough and dangerous life, Elise is one of the most superficial women around. Beautiful in every way yet unseeing of a single bit of it, every scar, every blemish is another reason for her to hide, another reason for her to keep herself from the eye of the public. Even though she’s at a Circus, she still thinks this is so. Even though people judge not by how many pimples you have, but by how normal you look, Elise is still constantly worrying. She can’t stand to be ugly—so every mark on her porcelain skin ends up covered up by a tattoo.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Elise lived in a small house with two parents that hated each other, a brother that committed suicide at fifteen, and her good old sister Heartlie, another tenant at the Disney Circus. Elise was a boastful girl, whereas Heartlie was just angry all the time, and the more one acted one way, the worse the other became. In this case, Elise boasted more and more and bit by bit, Heartlie began to grow frustrated. She moaned and groaned about how stupid her sister was being to her friends. She snapped plenty of times every day. She insulted Elise every second she could…until finally, the insults stuck.

Elise got her first tattoo when she was seventeen, a small rose over her heart because her sister had told her she had a man’s chest. Ashamed, Elise wanted to distract from her so-called flat breasts, and from that moment on, she slowly became addicted, bit by bit. Every mark on her body was a cause to get another tattoo, until every parlor on her block had Elise Queens blacklisted for abuse of property and warranty. Flustered and completely terrified of having people notice how ugly she was without her tattoos, Elise took it upon herself to learn the complicated art and slowly, inch by inch, coated herself in layer upon layer of tattoo to hide every tiny mark she found on herself. The Circus found her right after she’d finished her fiftieth tattoo, and the disdainful way she tried to hold herself throughout her inner lack of self confidence instigated them to offer her a permanent position with their ranks. Elise took it…only to realize the cause for her self-hatred was already working there too.
